Urban geotourism

Urban geotourism presents a great variety of possibilities. We can mention examples the floors of São Paulo's shoppings, covered by rocks with stromatoliths and details in squared stones of countless ancient consctructions of the colonial Brazil, as Ouro Preto public fountains or even granite covering buildings in big cities. Our purpose is to join geological information to the places of easy visibility, offering the observer another possibility of knowledge that surrounds him.

This kind of geotourism presents important and democratic points because most of people live in metropolis and all cities are able to develope it. Beauty of geology knowledge can supply, in many cases, absence of scenic attractives.
